To honor RaGene Bygrave for her placing second in the 2012 Ohio Youth of the Year Competition.

WHEREAS, RaGene Bygrave recently finished second place in the 2012 Ohio Youth of the Year Competition presented by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Tupperware Brands; and
WHEREAS, RaGene Bygrave is a resident of the Hilltop neighborhood of Columbus, where she has lived since the age of thirteen; and
WHEREAS, RaGene Bygrave is graduating this year from Centennial High School, where she has been awarded many Senior Academics Awards including Student of the Year in Social Studies; and
WHEREAS, in addition to high school, RaGene Bygrave works at the Waffle House to help contribute to her family and volunteers with the Boys & Girls Clubs as well as the Capital Kids Program; and
WHEREAS, RaGene Bygrave was selected to be the Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus because of her commitment to her education, her community, her family and the Boys & Girls Clubs; and
WHEREAS, RaGene Bygrave will be working this summer for Ohio State Auditor Dave Yost; and
WHEREAS, this fall, RaGene Bygrave will be attending Ohio Dominican University. Her second place finish in this competition has awarded her a $2.000 scholarship for her educational endeavor; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council honors RaGene Bygrave for her being awarded second place in the 2012 Ohio Youth of the Year Competition.
