BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Department of Technology to renew the contract with Brown Enterprise Solutions, LLC for the Veeam Data Platform Advance Universal subscription for a total cost of $152,950.00.
The Veeam Data Platform Advance Universal subscription works as a backup system in conjunction with the city’s current infrastructure. The software licensing maintenance and support services are necessary to continue services for protection from events such as data corruption, accidental data deletion, malicious attacks (e.g. recovering from Ransom Ware), and natural disasters that could take down a city data center (e.g. tornados, fires).
Ordinance 3107-2023 authorized the Director of the Department of Technology to enter into a contract for the purchase of Veeam Data Platform Advance Universal subscription in the amount of $122,170.00. The contract was advertised through Vendor Services as RFQ025982, published on September 22, 2023, and awarded to Brown Enterprise Solutions, LLC. The original contract term was for one year, starting December 23, 2023, and ending December 22, 2024, which included the option of three (3) additional one (1) year terms at the same pricing and the same escalator clause renewal options. Ordinance 2295-2024 authorized year one (1) of the agreed three (3) additional renewals in the amount of $130,150.00.
Ordinance 1753-2025 authorized the second renewal at a total cost of $152,570.00 for a period of twelve (12) months, from December 23, 2025, through December 22, 2026.
This ordinance authorizes the third renewal of the Veeam Data Platform Advance Universal subscription in the amount of $152,950.00 for a period of twelve months, starting on December 23, 2026, and ending December 22, 2027.
