Explanation
Background: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to amend the contract with Bricker & Eckler LLP (Bricker & Eckler) by extending the contract period to December 31, 2019. Bricker & Eckler is one of the region’s leading law firms with offices located throughout Ohio. An amendment is needed to extend the contract period to December 31, 2019 to allow Bricker & Eckler to continue to review and update economic development policies for the Economic Development Division of the Department of Development.
Emergency Justification: Emergency action is necessary to allow Bricker and Eckler to continue providing services to the Economic Development Division of the Department of Development without interruption.
Fiscal Impact: This legislation does not have a fiscal impact.
