Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to execute a license agreement with GGH, LLC for the use of 41 parking spaces located at 151 Garfield Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, Franklin County Tax Parcel 010-001589; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation

BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a three (3) year license agreement with GGH, LLC for the period May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2025 for the use of forty-one (41) parking spaces in the City’s public parking lot located at 151 Garfield Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. The agreement allows for renewal of two (2) additional years on a year to year basis, requiring mutual agreement of both parties and approval by Columbus City Council.

Fiscal Impact: No funds are required. Income from the license fee will be deposited in the General Revenue Fund.

Emergency Action: Emergency action is requested to allow for execution of the license agreement in conjunction with the execution of the City’s lease with GGH, LLC for office space at 750 East Long Street.

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the Director of Finance to enter into a license agreement with GGH, LLC for a three year term commencing May 1, 2022 and terminating April 30, 2025 for the use of forty-one (41) parking spaces in the City’s public parking lot located at 151 Garfield Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the agreement allows for renewal of two (2) additional years on a year to year basis, requiring mutual agreement of both parties and approval by Columbus City Council.

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operations of the Department of Finance and Management, in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to execute those documents necessary to enter into a license agreement with GGH, LLC thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore:
