Background: This ordinance authorizes the appropriation of $1,378,096.00 from the unappropriated balance in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to support staff costs.
A total of $1,378,096.00 will be appropriated to support staff costs within the Health Department. These positions directly affect the Department’s ability to develop and deliver services throughout the City.
Fiscal Impact: This ordinance will increase the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 balance by $1,378,096.00. $1,378,096.00 is available from the unappropriated monies in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the appropriation of $1,378,096.00 from the unappropriated balance in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to support Columbus Public Health staff costs; and
WHEREAS, funding is budgeted and available from within the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to meet the financial obligations of these expenditures; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the expenditure of $1,378,096.00 from the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That from the unappropriated monies in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250, and from all monies estimated to come into said fund from any and all sources and unappropriated for any other purpose during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, the sum of $1,378,096.00 is appropriated to the Board of Health, Department 5001, per the accounting codes in the attachment to this ordinance.
SECTION 2. That the funds necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance are hereby deemed appropriated, and the City Auditor shall establish such accounting code...
