To recognize, commend, and thank Richard A. Pieplow for his distinguished service to the citizens of Columbus and to wish him well in his upcoming retirement.

WHEREAS, Richard A. Pieplow has honorably dedicated the past 28 years of his life to many citizens and fellow employees of the City of Columbus, Ohio since joining the staff of the City Attorney's Office in 1980, and
 
WHEREAS,  Richard served and received honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp. in 1964, and
 
WHEREAS, Richard received his undergraduate degree from Franklin University and his law degree from Capital University, and
 
WHEREAS, Richard was an active member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus City Bar Association, and
 
WHEREAS, Richard serves on the Board of Zoning Appeals in Bloom Township and Fairfield County, and
 
WHEREAS, Richard has served under the administration of four separate City Attorneys, and Richard
 
WHEREAS, Richard looks forward to enjoying more time with his wife Ramona Frances, daughter Bridgett Renee Floyd, and grandchildren Collin Paul and Isabella Nicole now, therefore;
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMUBS:  That this Council does hereby express our gratitude and deep appreciation to Richard A. Pieplow for his 28 years of exceptional service to the citizens of Columbus upon his retirement as Assistant Real Estate Attorney.
