Explanation
Title
To commend and thank Carla Norris for her 30 outstanding years of service to the City of Columbus.
Body
WHEREAS, Carla began her career of public service with the City of Columbus on December 16, 1974; and
WHEREAS, Carla joined the City Attorney's Office as a Legal Secretary under the leadership of City Attorney Gregory S. Lashutka; and
WHEREAS, Carla has dutifully served in numerous positions in the City Attorney's office; she has served as a receptionist, legal investigator secretary and as a supervisor under the leaderships of City Attorneys Lashutka, Ron O'Brien, Janet E. Jackson, and Richard C. Pfeiffer, Jr; and
WHEREAS, under the leadership of City Attorney Jackson, Carla advanced to the position of Office Manager due to her hard work and knowledge of the office; she has continued in that position under the leadership of our current City Attorney Pfeiffer; and
WHEREAS, Carla will enjoy a blissful life after retirement in her family's business Crawley's Custom Framing; and
WHEREAS, Carla has had a long and distinguished career in public service that will serve as an example for others, her dedication and diligence will be sorely missed; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this City Council expresses its profound appreciation to Carla Norris for her service to the City of Columbus.
