Explanation

This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew a contract on behalf of the Fleet Management Division with Bomar Construction Company, Inc., for the purchase of building maintenance and construction services.

The City of Columbus previously bid and successfully awarded Bomar Construction Company, Inc., the contract for the purchase of building maintenance and construction services, pursuant to bid solicitation RFQ026866. The original contract was entered into on May 2, 2024, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods upon mutual agreement and approval of Columbus City Council. This ordinance is seeking approval of the second of three allowed renewals.

This contract is for one year, from the date of execution by the City of Columbus. If unforeseen issues or difficulties are encountered that would require additional funding, a modification would be requested.

SUPPLIER: Bomar Construction Company, D365#005362. Expires 06/13/2026.

The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.

FISCAL IMPACT: This ordinance authorizes an expenditure of $80,000.00 from the Fleet Operating Fund for building maintenance and construction services.
