Explanation
BACKGROUND: The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio has an agreement with the City of Columbus to construct and complete a 16" water main along State Route 665. This legislation is to reimburse the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio for the cost difference between two thirds of the cost of a six (6) inch water line and a sixteen (16) inch water line. The larger water line was requested by the Division of Water to ensure adequate fire protection in the immediate area and to reinforce the overall distribution. The Division of Water also requested an extension of the limits of the proposed water line.
FISCAL IMPACT: This project is included in the 2002 C.I.B. and funds are being transferred to provide the monies needed for this project.
