To honor and recognize Robert E. "Bo" Chilton for his dedicated service to the Council of the City of Columbus and to wish him well in his new job.

WHEREAS, Bo has served as the analyst to Columbus City Councilwoman Charleta B. Tavares for the past 4 ½ years; and
 
WHEREAS, Bo came to us from The Ohio State University where he served as an  Academic Counselor/Technology Coordinator in the College of the Arts and Sciences, at  The Ohio State University; with a 50% appointment to Technology initiatives and a 50% appointment to Academic Counseling; and
WHEREAS, Bo is a family man devoted to his wife Audrey Chilton, their son Brandon,  and soon to be born daughter Sidney Chilton; and
 
WHEREAS, Bo is a passionate public servant who believes in servant leadership.  He is genuinely committed to making our community a better place, and he lives by the motto, "To those whom much is given, much is required"; and
WHEREAS, Bo is the immediate past President of the Columbus Alumni chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he is a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and he has served as a big brother through the Big Brother Big Sisters program for the past 7 years; and
 
WHEREAS, Bo is a good friend, father and public servant, this young man has shared his gifts and himself with his community.  We wish you well as you set out to empower African American men through your job as the Columbus Urban League's Director of African American Male Initiative.  Bo, continue to let your light shine; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
That this Council does hereby honor and recognize Robert E. "Bo" Chilton for his dedicated service to the Council of the City of Columbus and to wish him well in his new job.
