Explanation
Background:
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department of Finance and Management on behalf of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk to issue a purchase order to Oracle Corporation for the renewal of software maintenance support and upgrades for the period of May 31, 2007 through May 30, 2008 to be paid on a quarterly basis.
On April 24, 2006, ordinance 0552-2006 passed by Council authorized the renewal of the support and maintenance services with Oracle Corporation for the period of May 31, 2006 through May 30, 2007. Further, ordinance 0806-2002 passed by Council on May 20, 2002, created a sole source relationship between Oracle Corporation and the Franklin County Municipal Court for the restructuring of the Oracle licensing, and maintenance and support for CourtView 2000, the Municipal Court case management system. The circumstances creating the sole source in ordinance 0806-1002 have not changed.
