To honor, recognize and celebrate the life of Michael E. Leatherbury and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends on the occasion of his passing, May 10, 2012.

WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury was born on September 8, 1939 to Joseph and Grace Leatherbury; and
WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury and his loving wife Sandra were devoted parents to five wonderful children, and blessed with 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury was a 1957 graduate of East High School and attended Capitol University; and
WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury was a retired Air Traffic Controller and Salesman with Xerox Corp.; and
WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury's favorite song was, "Praise Is What I Do," by Shekinah Glory Ministries, and he lived by the precepts of Proverbs 3:5-6; and
WHEREAS, Michael E. Leatherbury was a member of Rhema Christian Center where he served as an Ordain Minister, The Men of Valor, a Leader of Persona Worker Ministry, A Teacher for Understanding Gods Word, Discipleship Ministry and Prison Ministry; and
WHEREAS, no one truly comprehends the loss that you feel or the sadness that you must be enduring, the Word of God declares that He will not leave us comfortless, He will show you His love through comforting memories and moments of peace. He will give you whatever your heart needs most at this moment; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this council does hereby honor, recognize and celebrate the long and fulfilling life of Michael E. Leatherbury and extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends on the occasion of his passing.
