BACKGROUND:
Need: There is a need in the Fire Division to authorize the appropriation of $41,776.40 from the unappropriated cash balance within the Fire Division's Public Access Defibrillation Program Fund. Funds will be used from this project to facilitate public education and community relations programs.

Emergency Designation: Emergency action is requested to make funding immediately available for upcoming programs.

Budgeted Amount: Funds are available for appropriation within the Fire Division's Public Access Defibrillation Program Fund's unappropriated cash balance.

WHEREAS, unencumbered cash exists in the Fire Division's Public Access Defibrillation Program Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Division needs to appropriate funds within the Public Access Defibrillation Program Fund to purchase goods and/or services for activities associated with this program; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Public Safety Department, Fire Division, in that it is immediately necessary to appropriate funds within the unappropriated cash balance of the Fire Division Public Access Defibrillation Program Fund for the purchase of needed goods and/or services, thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; Now, therefore;
