Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Executive Director of CelebrateOne to modify the grant agreement with Restoring Our Own Through Transformation (ROOTT) for holistic, community-oriented Perinatal Support Doula care. ROOTT is a non-profit corporation.
The City of Columbus previously approved ordinance 1832-2025 approving the grant for a twelve month period beginning on July 28th 2025. This ordinance is seeking to allow the reimbursement of costs for the program starting prior to the grant approval, back to January 1st 2025. The allotted grant amount shall remain the same at $425,000.00

Fiscal Impact: This ordinance authorizes the modification of the grant reimbursement dates to begin on January 1st 2025 but does not alter the previously approved total expenditure of $425,000 from the General Operating Fund with Restoring Our Own Through Transformation (ROOTT) for holistic, community-oriented Perinatal Support Doula care.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION: This ordinance is being submitted as an emergency in order to allow the continuation of vital services to City of Columbus mothers and allow the work of the grant to continue uninterrupted for the health and prosperity of City of Columbus citizens
