Explanation

BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the transfer of $80,000 between object levels within the Private Grant Fund and authorizes the expenditure of these funds to modify and increase Lead Safe Columbus contracts with ATC and Associates and the Franklin County Board of Health. These two organizations provide services under Lead Safe Columbus such as lead testing, risk assessments, work specs, clearance testing and other technical and educational activities relative to increasing the supply of lead safe, affordable housing for low income families. ATC and Associates will receive an additional $60,000 and the Franklin County Board of Health will receive an additional $20,000.

Emergency action is requested to avoid interruptions in program services.

FISCAL IMPACT: $80,000 will be transferred between object levels within the Private Grant Fund in order to provide funds for Lead Safe Columbus contract increases with ATC and Associates and the Franklin County Board of Health. The grant funds are from a Dupont and U.S. Conference of Mayors grant.
