PROPOSED USE: Commercial development.

DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approval (6-0) on August 11, 2005.

CITY DEPARTMENTS' RECOMMENDATION: Approval. The requested L-C-4, Limited Commercial District will allow limited commercial development consistent with the established zoning and development patterns of the area. The limitation overlay text establishes appropriate use restrictions and incorporates applicable Northland Development Standards addressing access, landscaping, and lighting and graphics controls.

WHEREAS, application #Z05-037 is on file with the Building Services Division of the Department of Development requesting rezoning of 0.17± acres from the C-2, Commercial District to L-C-4, Limited Commercial District; and

WHEREAS, the Development Commission recommends approval of said zoning change; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation in the City of Columbus in that it is immediately necessary to pass this ordinance to begin construction as soon as possible for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety; and

WHEREAS, the City Departments recommend approval of said zoning change because the requested L-C-4, Limited Commercial District will allow limited commercial development consistent with the established zoning and development patterns of the area. The limitation overlay text establishes appropriate use restrictions and incorporates applicable Northland Development Standards addressing access, landscaping, and lighting and graphics controls, now, therefore:
