Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contracts (UTC) for the option to obtain Wearing Apparel with Magpie Products, Midwest Graphics and Varsity Brands Holding. These contracts provide wearing apparel for participants and employees at recreation centers during events for the Department of Recreation and Parks.
The contracts, PO113921, PO113937 and PO113953 were established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ007861 and authorized under Ordinance Number 0945-2018 and will expire May 30, 2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Magpie Products, Midwest Graphics and Varsity Brands Holding can renew the contracts for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contracts expiration date will be May 30, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Recreation and Parks and other City agencies must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Wearing Apparel for use by Department of Recreation and Parks and other City agencies; and
WHEREAS, these contracts were entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ007861 with Magpie Products, Midwest Graphics and Varsity Brands Holding deemed the lowest, most responsive, responsible and best bidder, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Magpie Products, Midwest Graphics and Varsity Brands Holding can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper ...
