To Celebrate the Fifth Annual VENTURE OUT and Recognize The Pride Fund and Venture Atlas for Supporting LGBTQIA+ Businesses

WHEREAS, on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 The Pride Fund & Venture Atlas are hosting the fifth annual VENTURE OUT celebration at Stonewall Columbus; and
WHEREAS, dozens of investors from across the country have come together with Columbus restaurants, musicians, corporations, and artists to celebrate and showcase the intersection of the LGBTQIA+ and the investment communities.; and
WHEREAS, many venture firms, angel syndicates, PE firms, and institutional investors will have the opportunity to connect with great LGBTQIA+ businesses during this event; and
WHEREAS, over the course of the week local LGBTQIA+ programs, such as the LEAP Accelerator will represent the urban, innovative, and cultural energy of our city at sibling program events; and
WHEREAS, this event is an opportunity to showcase the spirit of Columbus and strongly promotes Columbus’ reputation as a smart, open, and kind economic region for all; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council celebrates the fifth annual VENTURE OUT and recognizes The Pride Fund and Venture Atlas for supporting LGBTQIA+ businesses.
