Explanation
BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Interim Director of the Department of Human Resources to modify a service contract with MedQuest Evaluators for the Defense Medical Examination and/or File Review contract to add funds for payment of services.
Ordinance 0098-2025 authorized the Director of the Department of Human Resources to enter into a service contract for the Defense Medical Examination and/or File Review in the amount of $60,000.00. The contract term is for three (3) years, with the option to extend, upon mutual agreement, two (2) additional one-year contracts, subject to appropriation.
This ordinance authorizes the Interim Director of the Department of Human Resources to add funds to pay for services in year two (2) of the contract in the amount of $45,000.00. This is a planned modification to add funds.

The total of modification 1: $45,000.00 (This Ordinance, Ord. 0337-2026)
The contract amount, including all modifications: $105,000.00
Searches in the System for Award Management (Federal) and the Findings for Recovery list (State) produced no findings against MedQuest Evaluators.
CONTRACT COMPLIANCE
MedQuest Evaluators’ contract compliance number is CC-003984, expiring on 1/17/2027.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for this contract will be available within Fund 5502, the Employee Benefits Fund.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION
Emergency action is respectfully requested to allow contract services to continue without interruption.
