To honor and recognize Mr. George Smith, Sr., Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Ohio Royal Arch Masons on this 1^st day of May, 2004.

Body

WHEREAS, the officers and members of John C. Logan Chapter # 53 are sponsoring a banquet to recognize Mr. George Smith, one of the outstanding members of the Prince Hall Masonic Fraternity; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Smith has served the Prince Hall Masonic Family as a leader in each of the several branches of Masonry; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Smith has demonstrated outstanding leadership and was elected to the exalted office of Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Ohio Royal Arch Masons; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Smith has selflessly dedicated his life to servant leadership.  He has lead by example having committed 21 years of service to our country in the United States Air Force and most recently serving on the Board of Governors of the Retired Armed Forces Association; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLOVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby honor and recognize Mr. George Smith, Sr., Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Ohio Royal Arch Masons on this 1^st day of May, 2004.
