The Columbus LGBTQ+ Affairs Commission's Executive Committee met on Monday, August 17th from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. virtually. Chair Roberts-Crews, Vice Chair Savage, and Commissioners Calhoun, Keilholz, and Applegate were present, as well as Dr. Kenyona Walker and Raven Ho from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m.
The members discussed lessons learned from the Commission's listening session and goals for future listening sessions.
The committee chairs shared reports, including efforts to create a social media policy for the Commission.
The committee discussed how best to integrate into the existing landscape of LGBTQ+ organizations in Columbus and complement, rather than replace or unproductively duplicate, efforts.
Finally, the committee discussed the possibility of hiring a consultant to assist the Commission in their work, such as drafting an annual report.
The Chair adjourned the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
