Title
To make current the authorizations for the City Auditor to transfer funds from operating funds to reserve funds or from reserve funds to operating funds.
Body
WHEREAS, various ordinances and/or resolutions over the past many years have authorized transfers between certain operating and/or reserve funds; and
WHEREAS, examples of those ordinances and/or resolutions are 214X-92, 1667-86, 95-92, 2475-91, 1792-07 and 1983-03; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to make current the authorization for the City Auditor to transfer funds from operating funds to reserve funds or from reserve funds to operating funds; and
WHEREAS, such transfers will primarily occur in, but not be limited to, the Enterprise funds of the City such as Water, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, and Electricity; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. The City Auditor is authorized to transfer funds from operating funds to reserve funds and from reserve funds to operating funds.
SECTION 2. Such funds are deemed appropriated to carry out the purpose of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
