Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
The city of Reynoldsburg is reconstructing 0.93 miles of Rose Hill Road from Main Street to South of Rosedale Avenue. This project includes curb and gutter, drive approaches, shared use path, storm sewer, waterline relocation and traffic control. Four streets within the project limits that intersect Rose Hill Road are inside the city of Columbus. These streets are Red Coach, Borr, Balsam and Shenandoah. The City of Columbus maximum contribution is $6,000.00 for the cost of constructing these sidewalks and drive approaches in Columbus.
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into contract with the City of Reynoldsburg for the construction of sidewalks within the City of Columbus and to authorize the expenditure of up to $6,000.00 to reimburse the City of Reynoldsburg for expenses incurred for the construction of sidewalks and drive approaches.
