To honor, recognize and celebrate the retirement of Coach Larry Ball
Body
WHEREAS, this Council honors and recognizes Coach Larry Ball for 30 years of dedicated teaching in Columbus Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Coach Larry Ball will be honored at a retirement banquet on March 10, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Coach Larry Ball has spent the last 28 years teaching physical science and physical education as well as coaching wrestling at Marion Franklin High School; and
WHEREAS, the Red Devils have won the Columbus City League Wrestling Championship 19 times under the dynamic leadership of Coach Larry Ball; and
WHEREAS, we salute Coach Larry Ball for his hard work and dedication to the success of students and athletes at Marion Franklin High School; and
WHEREAS, congratulations are in order for the 2005 City League Wrestling Championship, Red Devils Wrestling program, their school and of course their supporters who followed them every step of the way; and
WHEREAS, Coach Larry Ball's accomplishment should serve as inspiration to other City League teams, coaches, administrators, and students; and
WHEREAS, this council congratulates and thanks Coach Larry Ball for his unwavering commitment as an educator, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That we honor, recognize, and celebrate Coach Larry Ball's retirement after 30 years of exemplary service to Marion Franklin High School, Columbus Public Schools, and the youth of the City of Columbus.
