To honor, recognize and celebrate the life of Robert P. Dillard, Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends on the occasion of his passing, January 29, 2011.

WHEREAS. Robert P. Dillard, Sr. was born on July 23, 1928 in Boissevain, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, Robert P. Dillard, Sr. and his loving wife Louise were devoted parents to eight wonderful children, daughters, Olivia, Wanda, Darcel, Janie and sons, Robert, Jr., Charles, William and Anthony; and
WHEREAS, Robert P. Dillard, Sr. was blessed with eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Robert P. Dillard, Sr. was a Deacon at the Union Grove Baptist Church and dedicated member for over 50 years; and
WHEREAS, Robert P. Dillard, Sr. was a friend to many and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this council does hereby honor, recognize and celebrate the long and fulfilling life of Robert P. Dillard, Sr. and extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends on the occasion of his passing.
