To recognize Pastor Jerome L. Bostic and First Lady Linda Bostic on their 10th Pastoral Anniversary.

WHEREAS, Pastor Jerome L. Bostic was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio; attended Columbus Public Schools; graduated from Columbus Marion Franklin High School and attended Central State University in Xenia, Ohio and Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, in 1991, he became an Ordained Minister through the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ and attended the Karl F. Smith Bible Institute; and
WHEREAS, during that time, God promoted Elder Bostic to Associate Pastor to Dr. Nathaniel Jordan of the Apostolic Faith Temple where he served faithfully for ten years and became the National Director of Evangelism of the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ Youth Department; and
WHEREAS, like the Apostle Paul, Pastor Bostic believes in meeting people where they are on "Common Ground," referencing 1 Corinthians 9:22; and
WHEREAS, on July 6th, 1997 with confirmation and great respect from his mentor and pastor of ten years, Dr. Nathaniel Daniel Jordan, Pastor Bostic founded Common Ground Community Church; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Bostic has been saved and Holy Ghost filled through his marriage to his high school sweetheart, Linda, for 21 years, and has been blessed with two sons, Joshua and Caleb; and
WHEREAS, with the love and support of his church family, Pastor Bostic has been blessed with a down-to-earth witnessing approach that has allowed him to minister to the lost and to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 10 years as Pastor of Common Ground Community Church; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and applaud Pastor Jerome L. Bostic and First Lady Linda Bostic for 10 years of faithful service to Common Ground Community Church and for being a shepherd and leader to both their congregation and the City of Columbus.
