To honor and celebrate Overseer Michael D. Reeves Sr.’s 50^th pastoral anniversary

Body

WHEREAS, Overseer Michael D. Reeves, Sr., son of the late Curvington and Mary Reeves and a native of Columbus, Ohio, was born on May 27, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Overseer Reeves has been a devoted husband to Elder Deborah M. Reeves and supportive father to Dr. Michael Reeves, Jr., Bryan and John; and

WHEREAS, Overseer Reeves received the call to the ministry in November of 1974 and was selected as Pastor of the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church located at 3161 East 5th Avenue in October of 1976; and

WHEREAS, Overseer Michael D. Reeves Sr. is celebrating his 50^th pastoral anniversary at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church on October 17^th, 2026; and

WHEREAS, the occasion marks the semicentennial of Overseer Reeves’ dedication to growing his congregation, ministry staff, and facilities while upholding the core values of his church; and

WHEREAS, Overseer Reeves is a staple of the Columbus community; serving as a religious leader, trustee, radio personality, and mentor at local schools; and

WHEREAS, Overseer Reeves’ dedication to service is inspiring, commendable, and a credit to Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this council hereby honors and celebrates the 50^th pastoral anniversary of Overseer Michael D. Reeves Sr.
