Explanation
1. BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify (Mod #1) an existing engineering agreement with Brown & Caldwell for the Scioto Main Sanitary Pump Stations, CIP 650886-100000. The purpose of contract modification number one is to redirect the engineer’s previous scope of services and remaining funds to perform tasks which are more aligned with the found field conditions during the initial project investigation phase. Modification #1 will not require additional funds to prepare final construction plans for this project. Another contract modification will be necessary to provide funds for the bidding and construction phases of this project.

2. THE PROJECT TIMELINE: The lead engineer shall submit a draft and a final PDR (Preliminary Design Report) report, perform a large diameter condition assessment for the Scioto Main, provide a technical memorandum and deliver consolidated inspection records for the condition assessment, provide one (1) set of pump station (or alternative solution) construction plans in CC drawing format with specification documents, provide one (1) set of sanitary sewer and manhole rehabilitation construction plans in CC drawing format with specification documents, provide all easement documents and associated plan drawings, and complete all project tasks (excluding construction coordination phase) for this project within 365 days after the notice to proceed is issue...
