This ordinance authorizes the City Clerk to enter into a grant agreement with CMH FASHION WEEK, INC dba the Columbus Fashion Council, a non-profit entity, in support of the organization’s Curvy Runway Show.
The Columbus Fashion Council is a non-profit organization seeking to expand the fashion economy in Central Ohio through a combination of industry growth initiatives, community organizer support, funding access opportunities, and creative program development.
Columbus Fashion Council - Curvy Runway Show, which took place on September 29, 2023, featured three new plus-size designers in the city of Columbus. This was a part of Fashion Week Columbus (FWC).
FWC is a business platform and incubator for small businesses, and this was the first dedicated plus-sized show in the city of Columbus. The hope is to platform these designers and help them grow into businesses to storefronts in the city.
Fiscal Impact: Funding is available within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the City Clerk is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the not-for-profit CMH FASHION WEEK, INC dba Columbus Fashion Council in support of their Curvy Runway Show.
