Explanation
1. BACKGROUND:
This ordinance will provide an increase of $15,000.00 in funding that is necessary for the City Attorney to complete the acquisition of an easement that is required for the Division of Sewreage and Drainage's maintenance forces to access the Alum Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Storage facilities that are located southeast of the corner of East Main Street and Alum Creek Drive.
2. FISCAL IMPACT:
The Division is requesting City Council to transfer residual funds from an existing account balance within the Voted Sanitary Bond Fund that no longer requires funding. An amendment to the 2005 Capital Improvements Budget is necessary to accomodate the reallocation of residual funds from within the Voted Sanitary Bond Fund. Total funding for easement acquisition services for this project now stands at $25,000.00, with this increase.

WHEREAS, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, Department of Public Utilities, operates and maintains the Alum Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Storage Facility, that is located southeast of the interesection of East Main Street and Alum Creek Drive and has determined it necessary to acquire an easement to provide access for its maintenance forces to provide preventative service to said facilities; and
