Title: To authorize and direct the City Auditor to transfer $15,000.00 within the general fund from the Finance and Management citywide account to the City Attorney's Office and to declare an emergency. ($15,000.00)
Explanation
 
The purpose of this legislation is to transfer funds from the Department of Finance and Management, Division of Financial Management, into the City Attorney's Office to pay for special legal counsel services from Ray Cunningham relating to bankruptcy matters.  
 
Fiscal Impact:  Funds are budgeted and available in the Finance and Management citywide account for claims, settlements and outside counsel.

To authorize and direct the City Auditor to transfer $15,000.00 within the general fund from the Finance and Management citywide account to the City Attorney's Office and to declare an emergency. ($15,000.00)
 
 
 
Body
 
WHEREAS, the City Attorney's Office needs assistance through special legal counsel services in bankruptcy matters;
 
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the City and for further preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare, now, therefore:
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS
 
Section 1.  That the City Auditor is hereby authorized to transfer the sum of $15,000 within the general fund, Fund No. 010, from the Department of Finance and Management, Division of Financial Management, Department/Division No. 45-01, Object Level 1 - 10, Object Level 3 - 5501, OCA 904508, to the City Attorney's Office, Department/Division No. 24-01, Object Level 1 - 03, Object Level 3 - 3324, OCA 240101.
 
      Section 2.  That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or ten day after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
