Explanation
BACKGROUND
This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to enter into a contract with the government entity The Ohio State University, for soil sampling and laboratory services as set forth in the Scope of Services.
The term of this Contract is from date of execution until July 31, 2027. If unforeseen issues or difficulties are encountered that would require additional funding, a modification would be requested.

Body

WHEREAS, Ohio State University is a government entity; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of $106,738.00, or so much thereof as may be needed, is hereby authorized in Fund 6100, Sewer Operating Fund, in object class 03, Services, per the accounting codes attached to the ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities, to authorize the Director of Public Utilities to enter into a contract for soil sampling and laboratory services with Ohio State University; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
