Explanation
Background:
This ordinance is needed to modify the service contract and extend the service contract with Dawn Tyler Lee dba Forrest Street Consulting through August 31, 2026. The proposed ordinance reflects a strategic investment in leadership development through a structured retreat and targeted training sessions designed to strengthen internal alignment, communication, and service delivery. The leadership retreat is intended to provide dedicated time and space for senior leaders to engage in focused dialogue, assess organizational priorities, and develop actionable strategies that enhance team performance and cross functional collaboration. This is an intentional approach to enhance how the Department operates in service to residents. The retreat and accompanying workshops are designed to directly benefit the residents of the City of Columbus by equipping leadership and frontline teams with the skills necessary to respond more effectively, efficiently, and empathetically to community needs. Strengthened leadership capacity translates into clearer decision-making, improved coordination across service areas. Ultimately, this ensures that residents experience timely resolutions, stronger engagement, and increased trust in City services. This extension will provide the time necessary for the vendor to execute the scope of services as contracted due to current scheduling conflicts.
Fiscal Impact: No additional funding is required to modify this contract.
Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested to allow Dawn Tyler Lee dba Forrest Street Consulting to deliver the contracted services without interruption or delay of payment.
