Explanation
BACKGROUND:
The City Treasurer issued an RFP on October 26, 2007 for water lockbox services. Ten companies were solicited via the city's vendor services website. A proposal was received from one (1) local bank, the Huntington National Bank. The contract was for a five (5) year period beginning February 29, 2008 through February 28, 2013, subject to annual appropriations and approval of the contract by the Columbus City Council. On February 8, 2010 Columbus City Council passed ordinance 0137-2010 which authorized the third year of the five year contract for water lockbox services with the Huntington National Bank for the period March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011 for $40,000. The City Treasurer's Office now wishes to modify the contract to add $16,000 in additional funding.
These companies are not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract is budgeted and available within the water operating 2010 budget appropriations.
