To recognize Transformation Place, Inc., on their 1st, "Transforming Lives for a Brighter Future 2009" Orange Ribbon Campaign for Supervised Visitation Month initiative.

Whereas, The Transformation Place, Inc.'s (TTPI) Family Visitation Monitored Exchange and Mediation Center helps at risk families in situations where there has been domestic violence, sexual abuse, chemical dependency, neglect, prison re-entry and mental illness through the provision of supervised visitation and monitored exchange; and
Whereas, Direct Affect Solutions is a process involving TTPI/Transformative Solutions, Inc. that provide immediate services of supervised visitation, monitored exchange, advocacy, collaboration, and educational assistance to Families and children referred by Courts, Family Protection Centers, Domestic Violence Advocates, Legal Aid, Re-Entry Programs and other nonprofit organizations that provide social services to their indigenous and surrounding communities; and
Whereas, TTPI Direct Affect Solutions provides services to families with dysfunctional components in Franklin County based on referrals from various Central Ohio agencies; and
Whereas, Supervised Visitation Programs provide an opportunity for non-residential parents to maintain contact with their children in a safe and neutral setting. Supervised visitation programs may offer a variety of services to enable this contact to occur; now, therefore
Now therefore be it resolved by the Council of the City of Columbus:
That we do hereby support Transformation Place, Inc.'s mission to Transform Lives for a Better Future and recognize their 1st Orange Ribbon Campaign for Supervised Visitation Month initiative.
