Explanation
Background: The City of Columbus, Department of Development, Division of Real Estate and Land Redevelopment manages a parcel of real estate (CIP 010-045388, 2636 East Fifth Avenue) adjoining to Fire Station 20 that the Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire needs for the daily operation of Fire Station 20. The Department of Public Safety will reimburse the Land Bank Program and assume responsibility for the maintenance of this property.
Fiscal Impact: The Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire will pay the Department of Development, Division of Real Estate and Land Redevelopment a total of $10,000.00 for parcel 010-045388. Funding for this purchase is available within the General Permanent Improvement Fund.
Emergency Action: This legislation is presented as emergency to expedite the transfer in order to reduce Land Bank maintenance costs and to meet the daily operation needs of the Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire.

WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain real property located at 2636 East Fifth Avenue (CIP 010-045388); and
