To honor and recognize the achievements of Theresa Potter and celebrate her career at Glory Foods and service to the Columbus Community.
 
 
 
Body
 
 
WHEREAS, Theresa Potter began her career at Glory Foods in 1992, and in her position as Director of Sales Promotion and Marketing, was responsible for creating and executing strategic marketing programs, including the development and management of Glory's entire marketing plan and budget; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Potter formulated and executed strategic marketing programs that drove sales of Glory products including:   Designing advertising, public relations, event marketing, guerrilla and viral marketing campaigns, community relations and media planning programs to position Glory's products in the marketplace; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Potter instituted marketing programs that greatly contributed to the double digit growth of Glory Foods establishing a very successful multi-million dollar company in Central Ohio; and
 
WHEREAS, while guiding the public relations efforts of Glory Foods, Ms. Potter coordinated  introductory and new product launch events that introduced the canned products and later, the frozen family meals. This initiative resulted in the company gaining distribution with key retailers such in Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Dayton; and
 
WHEREAS, Theresa serves on the board of The Children's Hunger Alliance and as Board President of SAVE (Strategies Against Violence Everywhere).  She also serves on the Better Business Bureau Board and sits on the Central Ohio Division of March of Dimes Steering Committee for their Signature Chef event; now therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
