Explanation
This is consent legislation with the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a cable safety barrier project on SR 315, which proposes to install a raised metal cable safety barrier in the median of SR315 to separate northbound and southbound traffic from approximately 0.12 miles south of Bethel Road to 0.19 miles south of SR161. (FRA-SR315-8.45 PID 75285)
The Preliminary Engineering of this project will be performed by the ODOT production department. Construction will be performed and funded by ODOT.
Since this project lies within the City of Columbus, this consent ordinance is necessary. Construction of this project is scheduled for 2005.
Fiscal Impact: The estimated construction cost of the project is $200,000.00, which will be funded by ODOT. This legislation also authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into the necessary agreements to complete this project.
