To Recognize and Congratulate Pastor Fredrick LaMarr on his 29th Pastoral Anniversary

 

Body

WHEREAS, after Pastor LaMarr’s 24 years at Big Bear, he obtained his pastoral education and in 1997 he became pastor at the Family Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor LaMarr’s advocacy appears in little ways, purchasing his first home in the 1980s, where he still lives, he purchases housing in the community and makes sure that the community sees him; and,

 

WHEREAS, Pastor LaMarr’s church is a beacon for the South Side community; a place of connection and engagement; and,

 

WHEREAS, Pastor LaMarr helps to host “Ministries 4 Movement” march, to talk about what issues and concerns are from pain to healing, advocating for the Southside community; and,

 

WHEREAS, Pastor LaMarr further helps the after-school program within the church, highlighting youth and encouraging the importance of education into a career; and,

 

WHEREAS, Pastor LaMarr loves Columbus, the heart of the city, and serving the connectedness of the community; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby honors and recognizes Pastor Fredrick LaMarr on his 29th Pastoral Anniversary.
