Explanation
This ordinance will enable the Director of Recreation and Parks to modify the revenue generating contract with Richard C. Sorensen, dba Ritz Catering, for food concessions at Airport Golf Course.
Bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on September 11, 2001, for food concessions at Airport Golf Course. The term of CT00871R is for three (3) years through December 31, 2004, with the option to renew on an annual basis for two (2) additional years.
This modification is to:
1) Reduce the required rent by 2,000.00 for 2005 for a total annual payment of $38,000.00.
2) Reduce the required rent by $2,000.00 for 2006 for a total annual payment of $40,000.00
All other terms and conditions of CT00871R will remain the same.
Emergency legislation is being requested to enable revenues generated from this contract modification to be paid to the city as soon as possible.
Fiscal Impact:
Additional revenue funds will be received from Ritz Catering for Airport Golf Course.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to modify the revenue generating contract for the food concessions at Airport Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to enter into said contract modification to enable revenues to be paid to the city as soon as possible; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Recreation and Parks be and he is hereby authorized and directed to modify CT00871R with Richard C. Sorensen, dba Ritz Catering , for food concessions at Airport Golf Course. All other terms and conditions of CT00871R remain the same.
