To honor Bernadine Hunter for her committed service to the citizens of Columbus and celebrate her retirement from the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County.

Body

 

WHEREAS, Bernadine Hunter has served the City of Columbus by being  a highly valued Vice President of Human Resources for the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Hunter has served the ADAMH Board with distinction for nearly 28 years; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Hunter has provided the highest quality Human Resources services to our residents by representing ADAMH with the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR); and

WHEREAS, Bernadine is certified in Mediation and Arbitration through the Capital Law School Center for Dispute Resolution; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Hunter is a long-time member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Church where she serves in several capacities, including President of the Women's Board; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Hunter is the author of "No More Chains: Breaking Patterns of Addictive Behavior," a book that empowers women to move beyond past failures to overcome behaviors that keep them from their destiny; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That we honor Bernadine Hunter for her committed service to the citizens of Columbus and celebrate her retirement from the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County.
