Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Road and Sewer Maintenance Equipment Parts and Services with The McLean Company. This contract provides for the purchase of Road and Sewer Maintenance Equipment Parts and Services by the Division of Fleet Management to repair City vehicles.
The contract, PO130613, was authorized under Ordinance Number 1790-2018 and will expire August 31, 2020. In accordance with the contract terms, the City and The McLean Company can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be August 31, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Finance and Management, Division of Fleet Management must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Road and Sewer Maintenance Equipment Parts and Services for use by the Division of Fleet Management, and
WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to Sole Source provisions, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the contract terms, the City and The McLean Company can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and
