To congratulate The St. Charles Preparatory School Swim Team for winning the 2008 Ohio High School Athletic Association Boys Division I State Swimming Championship.

WHEREAS, The St. Charles Preparatory School Swim Team has talented athletes and a great coaching staff; and
WHEREAS, the swim team members have dedicated many early morning and afternoon hours in the weight room and pool preparing for competition; and
WHEREAS, in team spirit the Cardinals have encouraged each other to work hard and to perform their best; and
WHEREAS, this season the Cardinals earned their tenth consecutive CCL Championship and their third consecutive Ohio High School Athletic Association District Championship; and
WHEREAS, On February 23, 2008 the St. Charles Preparatory School Swim Team won the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I State Championship, the first Central Ohio boys team to accomplish this feat since 1987; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That we do hereby honor the St. Charles Preparatory School Swim Team for their relentless dedication to academics and athleticism and congratulate them for winning the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I State Championship.
