Explanation

BACKGROUND: On February 13, 2004, LVR, Inc. purchased property leased by the Public Service Department, Facilities Management Division, for use by the Public Safety Department. The previous owner was All Star Limited Partnership. This ordinance authorizes the assignment of all present and future business done by the City of Columbus relating to lease agreement CT17850 with All Star Limited Partnership, FIN 31-1310229, to LVR, Inc., FIN 31-1212072. The balance of purchase order DL005782 of $71,250.00, which was approved by City Council on July 28, 2003 by Ordinance #1657-03, Certificate AC 020772, must be assigned to LVR, Inc. Furthermore, the authority to enter into contract with All Star Limited Partnership for the new lease period beginning August 1, 2004 through July 31, 2005, which was approved by City Council on March 9, 2004 by Ordinance #0288-04, Certificate AC022175, must be assigned to LVR, Inc.

Emergency Action: Emergency action is requested so that LVR, Inc. may be paid in a timely fashion. The next rental payment is due on May 1, 2004.

Fiscal Impact: No additional funds are needed for this assignment.

WHEREAS, in order for the Public Service Department, Facilities Management Division to pay the new property owner at the time payment is due, it is necessary to assign all present and future business relating to lease agreement CT17850 with All Star Limited Partnership to LVR, Inc., including the balance of $71,250 encumb...
