PROPOSED USE: Drive-thru only restaurant.

DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approval (4-0) on June 12, 2003.

CITY DEPARTMENTS' RECOMMENDATION: Approval. The applicant is requesting the CPD, Commercial Planned Development District to redevelop the site with a drive-thru only restaurant. The proposed CPD text establishes development standards consistent with the zoning and development patterns of the area.

Body

WHEREAS, application #Z03-027 is on file with the Building Services Division of the Department of Development requesting rezoning of 0.50± acres from C-3 Commercial District to CPD, Commercial Planned Development District; and

WHEREAS, the Development Commission recommends approval of said zoning change; and

WHEREAS, the City Departments recommend approval of said zoning change because the requested CPD, Commercial Planned Development District would allow redevelopment of the site with a drive-thru only restaurant. The proposed CPD text establishes development standards consistent with the zoning and development patterns of the area and; now, therefore:
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Development in that it is immediately necessary to pass this ordinance an emergency measure because of the need to begin construction as soon as possible for the preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now therefore:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
