Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes the appropriation of $1,172,278.92 from the unappropriated balance in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to support primary health care services costs, and authorizes the transfer of appropriation between object classes.

A total of $1,172,278.92 will be appropriated to support primary health care services costs. These funds will directly affect the Department’s ability to develop and deliver services throughout the City.
Emergency action is requested in order to not delay the appropriation of these funds so that they can be utilized for primary health care services.

Fiscal Impact: This ordinance will increase the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 appropriation by $1,172,278.92. $1,172,278.92 is available from the unappropriated monies in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250.

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the appropriation of $1,172,278.92 from the unappropriated balance in the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to support Columbus Public Health primary health care services costs; and

WHEREAS, funding is budgeted and available from within the Health Special Revenue Fund 2250 to meet the financial obligations of these expenditures; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to allow the City Auditor to transfer appropriation between Object Classes of the Health Special Revenue Fund; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Health Department in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the appropriation and transfer of funds in order to avoid delay in primary health care services, for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, and safety;...
