Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to modify contract EL007413 with the Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County (AHT) for the Home Again Program. The modification will provide $5,664.36 from the Housing Preservation Fund for the purpose of continuing the city's support of the Home Again Program. Funds are made available from a cancelled contract in the Home Again Program. The Home Again Program addresses blight through the acquisition and rehabilitation of vacant houses to increase the supply of decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing as well as to enhance neighborhood revitalization activities.
Emergency action is requested so that the AHT can continue to provide these services without interruption.
FISCAL IMPACT: $5,664.36 will be expended from the City's Housing Preservation Fund. Funds are made available from a cancelled contract in the Home Again Program.
