Explanation
Background: The following ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify contract, EL003075, for professional services, with Woolpert, LLP, and to expend the monies for payment of these services in relation to the Williams Road Pump Station Project.
This modification will update the legal descriptions, which were prepared in 2000 for the Transportation Division, to meet current survey standards as required by the Franklin County Engineer. The consultant will also provide field survey work as required by Franklin County. The existing construction plans, which were completed in 2000, will be updated to current construction requirements and the drawings updated/changed to reflect lessons learned during recent pump station construction. Additional construction shop drawing review has also been included in this modification.
Fiscal Impact: This ordinance authorizes the transfer and appropriation of funds from the Storm Sewer Reserve Fund and a transfer within the Storm Sewer Bond Fund for this expenditure. Sufficient authority for this expenditure is already in place under the 2008 Capital Improvements Budget. Monies for this contract will be provided from an upcoming Bond Sale via the transfer detailed in this ordinance.
Emergency Justification: Emergency status is not requested for this ordinance.
