Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify an existing indefinite quantity agreement with JDM Services, LLC dba Frank Road Recycling Solutions for Clean Fill Disposal Site Services. The contract amount being authorized by this ordinance is $00.00.
The Department of Public Utilities aka Columbus Water & Power (CWP) uses this contract for a site to dispose of clean fill from repair projects involving water, sewer, and power infrastructure.
This modification No. 1 is to provide the necessary funding for the continuation of the clean fill disposal site services through April 30th, 2027. This contract shall not automatically renew. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain in full force and effect. If unforeseen issues or difficulties are encountered that would require additional funding, a modification would be requested.
1. Amount of additional funds: Total amount of additional funds needed for this contract modification No. 1 is $00.00. Total contract amount including this modification is $350,000.00.
2. Reason additional funds were not foreseen: No additional funding is needed at this time, this legislation authorizes an extension of time to cover a continuation of the vendor’s work to allow for enough time to bid and award a new contract for this service next year.
3. Reason other procurement processes were not used: Work under this modification No. 1 is a continuation of services included in the scope of the original bid contract. No lower pricing/more attractive terms and conditions are anticipated at this time.
4. How was cost determined: The cost, terms, and conditions were negotiated based on the original contract terms and expected usage.
