Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to establish a blanket purchase order for the purchase of Laboratory Supplies for use by the Division of Sewerage and Drainage. These supplies are used by the laboratories at the Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pretreatment and Surveillance Laboratory to conduct various tests and samples. The funding from this legislation is for the Surveillance Laboratory. Items required will be obtained in accordance with an established Universal Term Contract with Thomas Scientific. The current contract FL005351 expires on May 30, 2014 and Central Purchasing is in the process of extending this contract for an additional year.
